Betty Wright has taught dance for over 40 years.
While living in the New York City area, she studied dance at the Carnegie Recital Hall. While living in Pittsburgh, Pa. She studied ballet with the world renowned Vitale Fokine, whose father brought to America such famous ballets such as “Firebird”, “Les Sylphides”, and “Le Coq d’or”. Betty studied locally with the late Mr. Jack Copeland. who was with Butler University for 35 years.
She received Dance Educators of America dance teacher training and also received teacher training at the International Gymnastic Camp directed by a US Olympic team coach, Bruno Klaus. She is periodically coached by The Hubbard Street Dance Company in Chicago.
Betty is a professional actress, and is a member of the AFTRA and SAG unions for films, movies, and television. She has performed in the majority of the theatres in the Indianapolis-area and has choreographed for these theatres.
